It might be an overdone topic (and potentially an odd topic for someone who almost never posts…maybe I will get better in 2013, since I have a grand plan to stay away from Facebook and I think that alone will give me a couple of extra hours in the day), but here I am with my 12 favorite photos from 2012, listed by month.
January – my sweet kitties. I actually took this on 1 January 2012. Pretty neat.
February – we went home in February for a very busy four day trip. I am so glad I got this picture with my Granddaddy!
March – my nephew, Tyler, came to visit and we explored many places, some new, some old. This was taken at the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
April – ROMA. I cannot believe I haven’t done a post (or a series of posts!) about our trip. I did a lot of journaling while we were there, so I have it documented, just not online.
May – in May I was fortunate enough to go to Texas for work (a job that really had me depressed…something I had never known, but I just could not get happy there) and while there I took a side trip to Austin to see Rachie!
June – there may have been more significant events in June, but at least four days in June were devoted to painting this buffet (and lining the drawers with lovely maps) so I thought it fitting to include this.
July – Joshua and I turned 29 and I like this picture of us. We are doing 30 right and living it up in DC.
August – this was our first month in the tiny apartment! We explored our not-so-local (DuPont Circle) farmer’s market and found a new love!
September – Mama + Paul came to visit and we captured this photo of the Old Post Office right outside of Del Frisco’s.
October – the last day of October found me at the Supreme Court listening to Oral Arguments and loving the building.
November – we saw the super talented Carrie Underwood at First Mariner Arena in Baltimore. Joshua took the amazing photographs!
December – I have yet to edit the photos from our trip home, so this one will have to work. I experienced a DC tradition by going to the Capitol Building to see the lighting of the Capitol Christmas Tree.
Overall, I am glad that I got out and did something every month (many of my excursions are not listed here) and took some beautiful photographs while I was at it. Looking ahead at 2012, we will go to the Presidential Inauguration, celebrate our 30th, and attend what I know will be a beautiful wedding. I am so looking forward to all of that!
Looks like a fun year :)!!
